NOTD: WnW's Wild Card

This is such a pretty color. I was afraid it would be too sheer but this is 3 coats and its fine. In the photos it look a little bit streaky but in person I don't see that at all. In terms of color the last photo is the most accurate, its a light purple with some mauve in it and pink shimmer that is gorgeous in the sunlight. In indoor lighting its just really glowy. I think I'm going to get the blue version of this called Rain Check.

Franken: Vampire! At The Disco

Vampire! At The Disco has to be one of my most favorite frankens (a color you make yourself by mixing other colors). Actually its probably one of my most favorite nail polishes period. It was very easy to make, I just used equal parts Pure Ice's Scandal ($2 at Walmart) and Color Club's Fashion Addict. The holo affect is a lot more visible in person. This is a color that I am going to wear a lot.

NOTD: WnW's Blue Moon

Blue Moon is a new core color from Wet N Wild. This is 3 coats, this is a dark navy with aqua shimmer, which unfortunately stands out more in the bottle than on the nail. Its still pretty though.

The only thing I don't like about this formula is that it dries too fast. By the time I finish one side of my nail the brush is too dry to do the other and its very easy to smudge because it doesn't stay wet long enough to fix any bubbles or whatever. Other than that the brush is great and I think this was one of the neatest mani's I've done, there wasn't much clean up to do.

Franken: So Fetch

I started this about a month ago and didn't finish it. Yesterday I got Wet N Wilds Kaleidoscope and was able to finish it. So Fetch is very glittery and I'm excited to try this with other colors.

I used:

tiny bit of SC Dream On (to tint the base)
WnW's Kaleidoscope
loose fucshia glitter from a nail supply store
little amounts of some other purple/pink glitters

Franken: Scuba Diver

I'm on a roll with the frankening lately. This one did not turn out as holographic as I wanted, but I have 1 oz of loose holographic glitter on its way to me so I am going to add that and see if I can get it to be how I want it.

I used:

equal parts Color Club 220 Volts & Bizerk Turq for about 1/4 of the bottle
1/4 NYX Titanic
1/2 CC Worth The Risque

Franken: Peacock! At The Disco

Another franken, and this one is even better than the last. I started out wanting a navy blue holo (I admit I got the idea from someone else) but when I swatched this I had to keep it this way. I will still do the navy holo very soon, along with a lot of other ones. This color is a dark smoky blue with some teal, the holo glitter really stands out in sunlight and artificial lighting.

Franken: Midnight Sky

This was an attempt to dupe another color but it didn't go so well. I was disappointed but I've just decided to take it for what it is. The color is a darker navy, its not quite as bright as the photos show.

NOTD: Passionate Purple + Hidden Treasure

I've been wanting to wear Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure over a purple since I first started seeing photos of it. This combination is amazing, its 2 coats of Finger Paint's Passionate Purple and 1 coat of Hidden Treasure. When the flakes are red its kind of sassy/sexy and when they are green it makes me want to cackle like a witch on Halloween. All sorts of fun is to be had with Hidden Treasure. Like the name suggest its rather hard to find and LE, but there are at least three other dupes, from Nubar (2010), Nfu Oh (fabuloustreet.com, #38), and GOSH (Rainbow) for the Canada/UK ladies. Hidden Treasure has mostly been found at Walgreens and Walmart for those who want to try to track it down.

NOTD: Orly Royal Navy

Royal Navy is soooooo stunning! I have 3 other blues that a similar that I don't like, but I love this one. I think its a color that I will want to wear a lot. Its a dark royal blue jelly with green/aqua shimmer. This is 3 coats and there is a little bit of VNL but not enough to bother me. It also applied very evenly and seemed to dry quickly. The first photo here is the most acurate, being taken in natural indoor lighting, but its a tiny bit darker and the shimmer stands out more than I could show in any of the photos. The 2nd photo is taking in my magical bathroom lighting and the 3rd was taken in direct sunlight.

NOTD: LA Girl Funkadelic + SH Spectrum

For this NOTD I am wearing 2 coats of LA Girls Funkadelic from their Disco collection, which I've found at 2 small clothing stores and cherryculture.com, and 1 coat of Sally Hansen's Spectrum from their new HD collection. Spectrum has a turquoise base with tons of blue sparkles and a little bit of pink sparkles which the second picture sort of shows. I really want more of the HD collection, but I have to wait until they are on sale since they run $5-6 at the drugstore.
